Welcome, and thank you for visiting YewCan Therapy Solutions. My name is Aly Baxter I am a Psychotherapist providing both long-term therapy and short term Counselling to individuals.
Perhaps even broken? Are difficult thoughts and feelings creating issues for you that you find overwhelming? Maybe you yearn for a happier future, free from past issues which present current obstacles to your journey.
I work with people just like you, helping them to find clarity, inner peace and personal freedom. I specialise in working with survivors of incest, trauma and abuse and gained my training from a charitable organisation in Newark. Clients presenting issues were varied ranging from physical, emotional, sexual, domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse. I also offer therapy for a much wider range of issues including attachment difficulties, OCD and bereavement.
I also worked for 16 years as a Health Care Assistant in a high secure hospital and have extensive experience of mental health issues, and personality disorders.
I am an integrative therapist which means that I use theories from differing models of counselling dependent upon my clients presenting issues. This ensures that I am able to adapt my practice to my clients needs and create an individual therapeutic experience.
As the world of therapy is dynamic and constantly changing I also enhance my own practices with current and relevant theories.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adher to their values and ethical framework in my practice. You can read more about my qualifications and training here.
I believe everyone deserves to live a rewarding and fulfilling life and understand how difficult a road this can be to travel. Every individual carries within themselves the power to heal, I want to help clients realise their potential and break free from their inner prisons. Please read Tracey’s testimonial below where she found her possible.
Many people have shared with me how difficult they found taking the first step towards getting help. I understand, I also felt the same way in my own personal therapeutic journey. Was it worth it? Absolutely, was it difficult? Yes it was, I felt the fear and did it anyway, so can you.
I also understand that often finances are also a contributing factor to the decision to see a private therapist but can you really put a price on your future freedom and happiness? Drop me an email or call 07359342611 - I can help.

Here are just a few reasons why online counselling makes good sense...
Online therapy enables you to receive support within your own home or choice of ‘safe place’. You can be at ease in a relaxing and peaceful setting, wearing comfortable clothes accompanied, if you wish, by a furry friend and a nice comforting hot drink! Whatever works for you, this therapeutic space enables you to open up more easily and share what can often be difficult experiences and emotions.
Appointments are available during the evening and often weekends which means you can get the help you need without having to negotiate work, childcare or other week time priorities. You can choose a time that works better for you.
There is no risk of you feeling vulnerable in a waiting room situation, no worry that you may bump into people you know and no stress of being in an unfamiliar place with strangers . Sessions are conducted in complete privacy.
All private and sensitive information regarding your personal details or session notes are kept safe and adhere to strict guidelines set out in General Data Protection Regulations
My fees are £55 per 50 minute session. I offer a free 30 minute consultation appointment so we can explore working together and I can assess your needs. I offer limited places for people on low incomes and students fees are £35 per 50 minute session. Please contact me for more information.
Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 24 hours’ notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment by bank transfer.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange a free consultation appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07359342611 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
